Up for grabs is a 1963 Gibson Les Paul Historic Art Custom. Of course this guitar is really an SG but then itwas called a Les Paul. The guitar is in good shape and is very presentable. But the guitar is not perfect and that is the reason the price is so cheap. Usually one of these guitars mint but used would be worth $2800 or a little more. Of course this guitar sells for $4200 new and that is not list. Guitar plays really good and sounds great. PAF pickups. No truss rod issues or any issues other than cosmetic. All original. Like no fret wear. An I am not sure but since the guitar does not seem to have been played much maybe Gibson artifically aged the guitar. The gold is tarnished 40% bridge,10% maestro,0% tuners,25% pickup covers. The pickguard is almost perfect, cavity cover is excellent, truss cover excellent, knobs and screws excellent, maestro arm has a little crack in plastic handle. This finish is has dings here and there and other blemishes. The finish is still getting darker and there is some strealing of light and dark. But eventually it will all be aged uniformly. I would rate the guitar a 7.8 out of 10 cosmetically. From a few feet away the guitar looks perefect. It is when you turn it to lights and angle it you see paint blems. But anyway this guitar is worth what I am asking for sure. The guitar is priced cheap. Comes with original case. Shipping will be a flat $35.00 to lower 48 states only. USA sales only.
