Hi, I am offering a beautiful 1974 Gibson Les Paul Custom Anniversary.
Here is the description:
Cherry Red figured maple top. One piece mahogany back.
Pot codes 13774xx.. all match. .
"Twentieth Anniversary" inscribed at 15 fret mop inlay. Original nut, truss rod cover.
No cracks or breaks, neck is straight, truss rod works correct. The neck is more of a medium profile.
Original pots, bridge and patent # gibson tune a matic bridge, Original Waffle Keystone Button Kluson Tuners (one tuner is slightly bent but doesn't affect tuning).
Original finish, shows typical wear for 36 year old guitar that has been played, some nicks, dings, scratches - wear spot behind neck where it sat in a guitar stand. No cracks or breaks, no extra routing. I have sold hundreds of guitars since the late 60's, this is a good one.
Repro knobs, pickguard, gibson strap buttons.
Seymour Duncan PAF style pickups - model JBJ bridge & PGBJ neck with new gold covers, they are not attached to pickup so you can either remove them or attach them. They are quality pickups USA made. The gibson pickups that were original to guitar are not included, they were the patent # stamped into base of pickup, they are not an incredible pickup or hard to come by, I saw one sell for $123.00 recently on Ebay. This guitar is priced accordingly.
The pickup rings are the original Gibson M-8's.
The gold plating is worn.Pro refret, lots of life, they show some wear or divots but don't affect playing - no divots in ebony fretboard. See pix, it is slight you may want for $40 additional my luthier who is one of the very best will dress them. Myself I would just play it. It Will Not need a refret.
Original switch, back plates. The switch back plate has a chip on edge missing. This guitar really is beautiful and shows in the figured top and once piece honduras mahogany back.
Orignal Gibson Protective Molded Case overall good condition, needs two latches.
It has a great feel to it and the action is just right. The pickups are a good choice too. It is strung up with ernie ball 10 - 46 slinky's. Made in the good old USA. This guitar was owned personally by the owner of a vintage guitar store and was one he kept as his personal guitar for many years because of it's looks, tone and the way it plays. As you know this is one of Gibson's classic flagship models. This is really a bargain, if you check out what people are pricing them for on Gbase, there is not one near this price.
This guitar will ship parcel post allow 7 to 10 business days for delivery. Winning bidder to pay $65 flat shipping and insurance for local 48 states. Alaska or Hawaii will be more. Please no foreign bidders, will ship only to USA because of time constraints.
