Up for auction is perhaps the rarest vintage Gibson Les Paul Custom ever. This 1975 BRAZILIAN rosewood topped beauty is one of 53 shipped between 1974 and 75. These guitars were built using a 1/2" thick piece of rosewood instead of the normal maple for the carved tops. The guitar is in really nice condition, though it was played so there are a few flaws as follows: there is a chip out of the corner tip of the headstock right behind the overlay, there are 2 deep lacquer checks on the top behind the bridge (I think these are why the guitar was stamped a "2"), and it had Grovers on it at one point, but the original Kluson Supers are back on with no extra screw holes. Other than that it really is in excellent condition, with no major marks/dents/scratches, no belt buckle marks, just a nice clean guitar. The guitar has all of its original parts on it and nothing was ever changed (except the forementioned tuners). Anyway, it comes shipped in the hard case pictured. Shipping prices will vary, figure about 40.00 insured USPS Priority close to New York, and up to 80.00 to the west coast, w/ insurance. I am open to fair offers on this guitar so please don't hesitate to ask! SOLD WITH NO RESERVE!!!!
