This 34 year-old Black Beauty is naturally aged. Better than any Murphy aged Les Paul. Weight 11 lbs
This auction is for a clean 1976 Gibson Les Paul Custom in original black finish. The binding has aged to a vintage yellow. This Black Beauty has the ebony fretboard with pearl block inlays. Frets are in good condition. All four pots are dated 1976. Original Gibson tuners.
The back of the neck has some finish wear. The pickups are a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan 59N in the neck. I'm not sure what kind of bridge this is. The bridge is made of heavy duty brass and the tone and sustain are superb. Send me an email if you know the maker of the bridge. The jackplate has been replaced with a Gibson chrome one. The pickup selector knob has been replaced with a Gibson amber knob. The strap buttons have been replaced, but the originals are included. The original purple plush lined case is missing one latch and the handle is broken.
This guitar shows some hardware and finish wear from playing over the last 33 years. Gibson calls that 'aging' and charges thousands of dollars to make a new guitar look like this one. The prices of vintage Les Pauls are skyrocketing. This guitar is an investment and will only increase in
value. Don't let this guitar get away! Buy it now! Click on the link below to see lots of closeup pics.
