This is a spectacular example of a 1992 Gibson Les Paul Custom. I purchased this guitar new in 1993 (it was manufactured in December 1992), and have taken exceptional care of it. The guitar has been played, but it's never been exposed to a smoke-filled environment or other harsh conditions. I'm very picky about guitars; this one was by far the nicest Les Paul I had found during months of searching. The workmanship is first-rate; there are virtually no finish flaws. The inlay work is outstanding, and there is no indication of needing epoxy filler as on many of this era. The binding is meticulously applied. The only thing close to a finish flaw is a slight amount of overspray directly at the neck-heel (and I mean very slight!). The binding is still immaculate white. The Wine Red is very deep - in most lighting it looks more like Oxblood, but stage lights or direct sunlight bring out the burgundy and the wood grain.
This guitar is in very good condition. There is slight buckle rash, and minor surface scratches. The metal parts are all original, and they are in great shape. There have been no modifications to this guitar whatsoever. Everything works as it should; the guitar is currently set up with strings gauged .009-.042. I really hate to sell it, but a recent auto accident has left me unable to play it due to its weight. If you like your Les Paul's heavy - this one is for you! This one weighs in at 10 pounds, 15 ounces! As you can imagine, it sustains for days.
The guitar comes with the original case, which itself is in good condition. No other accessories are included.
Shipping within the lower 48 states is included in the price of the guitar. Shipping to Alaska or Hawaii will be at an additional expense.
