Up for sale are a set of GREAT sounding vintage Gibson T Top pickups that have never had the covers removed. These date to 1979, and they are in very clean, nearly NOS condition, as you can see from the pictures. Plenty of lead length, no issues whatsoever. The 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom that these came out of has moved on, but the pickups remain.
I measured these at 7.60k in the bridge and 7.55k in the neck pickup. Leads are long at essentially original lengths.
Also see my other auction for the pickup rings and pickguard.
Randy Rhoads used stock pickups like these in his Les Paul Customs. When these were in the guitar, they sounded amazing. Vintage, organic, woody tones with clarity and bloom.
This is a premium, clean set that is pretty close to like new. You would have search long and hard to find vintage T-Tops with covers still on in better condition.
